                                                   Part 1 - We remember

I will start this story in none other way than with the beginning. I guess it was a normal day. There wasn't much to worry about. The suns were up in the sky, shining brightly behind Solash and there was a nice breeze that struck my scarred face while looking up, trying to stare into the strong light while lying on my bed of grass and flowers at the west side of the town. I used to do that all the time. Used to sit back and look at the suns until my eyes started hurting, and then I would close them and I would still be able to see the giant flares above while smelling the Peteae flowers all around. It became somewhat of a daily ritual to me. Being born on Solash and having The Two Overseers above and such beautiful places surrounding the area for miles and miles was breathtaking! And I simply couldn't help myself.

Frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way. Even now I remember my grandmother's tell-tales and legends about them. One of them says that those are the very Eyes of God who created our world. And that before he went to his eternal sleep, he left his eyes behind to watch over us. Another one speaks of a wanderer who once visited our world in need of shelter. He liked it very much. Our world was barren and empty, yet he somehow found it serene and peaceful. In fact he liked it so much that in his great wisdom he decided to give it law and order, and set a smaller sister in the sky to rule the currents of the seas, a Sun brother to shine light and provide warmth for them both and right before he left, worried that he might never return to this place while endlessly roaming the universe, he made it so that the very Sun would have a brother so that when he looks behind in the endless sea of stars, he would always find and point to that special place, that system with two suns and a moon and always remember it.

The same story says he was sad about leaving and that that's exactly how We came to be. He left a part of himself right here by creating us before his departure and this is why we exist. It's a common belief that we look and sound just like him for he created us in his own image. At least that's the subject many of our clever doctors and scientists touch when they speak about pregnancy. You see, here you always get born with a brother or a sister. You are never truly alone. Nobody can really explain the phenomenon, it simply exists.
Another story speaks about nothingness and chance. But I don't like that one. It's much too dismal. There's hundreds, perhaps even thousands of stories such as these but I'll get back to them later. Now  I want to talk about that day. That unbelievable day.

My father was upset with me, because as usual I would always do the opposite of what he asked. It's not that I didn't care but he wasn't my real father to start with! And one day, a certain rivalry just formed between the two of us and from there on I would do everything in my power to piss him off. Because hey, why not? Little did I know. Then again I was 17 so there's not much to be expected from a kid at that age. Except maybe disobedience and a big mouth. I was great at talking trash but had no desire what so ever in work and I wanted my real dad. Stupid kid! There's nothing good or even remotely close to it that I could tell you about him anyway. He was a real arse hole and he left me and mother way before I was born. Yet that would never stop me trash talking, ignoring or annoying the crap out of my step dad. In my eyes they were all the same. It was just a matter of time until this one left too. In my eyes at least.. What can I say, being young and upset on the whole world is common right?

I did take it too far that day. I actually went and told him I hated him. Guess I was the real arse hole after all hmm?
Anyway, noon was nearly there and I was suppose to fetch something for him from the other side of the town. I didn't mind it since the road there took me to my spot which I loved to call "me time". But after about 20 maybe 25 minutes of staring at the sky I decided it's time to go and get that thing. It was a small box actually. As soon as Mr. Rachek handed it over to me, I shook it trying to figure out what's inside. What the hell was so important that I had to move my ass across the town for? Couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Mr. Rachek started smiling and told me that I couldn't open the box and look inside even if I wanted to because it was coded to my father's touchprint. That only annoyed me more as you can imagine. The nerve of him! What's he hiding anyway? Wait ti'll mother hears about this* I thought to myself. On the way home I felt a chill in the air and the temperature seemed to be dropping. A little wind and rain never hurt anyone and with two Suns around, they were certainly always welcome. I had my headphones on and nearly got run over by a floater while crossing the Springway, but surprisingly managed to notice Mrs.Cuts.. as we liked to call her. It was in fact Mrs.Cruts but we called her that way because she was the local hairdresser-barber (barbdresser? hah). She preferred the term "stylist" but we didn't really care. And by "we" I mean me and the rest of my friends, who Unlike me, were doing their daily chores at that time. I was given instructions to go and get the package and bring it home by 1300 hours. Who are we kidding.. was I going to listen to father for once? Of course not. So I decided to go visit my friend Rince.

And a good day to you too Mrs. Gellis! I shouted to the woman across the street who was walking her two beautiful sets of twins while rushing towards Rince's house crossing Dunbard Street. What a stupid name! It was called that way because of Mr. Dunbard who owned most of the local shops and stores and of course his own giant palace. What a selfish old guy, naming the street after him.
"Rince!" I yelled from underneath his window. "Hey Rince!" ..
